The Sony FS100 features a CMOS Super 35mm sensor capable to record video with AVCHD compression at 24Mbps in a 8 bit 4:2:0 color space. The Sony FS100 records onto SDHC cards but can output 4:2:2 with HDMI. The camera features a Sony E mount with a shallow flange depth that allows you to mount any kind of lens with a limited crop factor. The Sony FS100 is rated at 500 ISO and has a gain range from 0db to 30db, which is the equivalent to 16000 ISO. Another interesting feature of the Sony FS100 is the 1920x1080P Slow and Quick Motion (Over & Under Cranking) that allows you to record images at a different frame rates from that used for playback. It records slow motion up to 60fps in full 1080p. The Sony FS100 has a light and compact build that includes a viewfinder on top of the camera and 2 XLR audio inputs to record audio into the camera.
